About Wood Ingenuity
Wood Ingenuity brings design, craftsmanship, natural materials, and hands-on skill together under one roof. Based in Queen Anne, MD, our team helps clients create thoughtful spaces, custom woodwork, and one-of-a-kind pieces with care from concept to completion.
From kitchen and bath design to custom woodworking, live-edge pieces, mantels, cabinetry, floating shelves, trim, and sawmill services, our work is guided by a respect for wood and a commitment to quality.
Our Story
Wood Ingenuity was founded in 2014 with a mission rooted in craftsmanship, respect for natural materials, and the belief that wood can be transformed into something meaningful.
Our story began with a storm-felled White Oak on Jim Boyle’s farm in Queen Anne’s County. What started as an effort to salvage and reuse that tree grew into a larger vision: giving local wood a second life through thoughtful design, milling, drying, woodworking, and finishing.
Today, Wood Ingenuity has grown into a full design studio and woodworking shop where natural materials, creative ideas, and skilled craftsmanship come together.
A Design Studio and Woodshop Under One Roof
Wood Ingenuity offers a connected approach to design and craftsmanship. Our team brings together designers, craftspeople, sawmill capabilities, woodworking skill, and project support to help clients move from an idea to a finished result.
That means clients can come to us for a range of needs, including kitchen and bath design, custom woodworking, live-edge pieces, mantels, beams, floating shelves, custom trim, cabinetry, countertops, island tops, and sawmill services. We also do roll-off dumpster rentals!
Whether the project is residential or commercial, our goal is to create work that feels personal, useful, and built to last.

Roll-Off Dumpster Rentals
Wood Ingenuity also offers roll-off dumpster rentals for cleanouts, remodels, construction projects, roofing jobs, tree removal, brush clearing, and related cleanup needs.
